Sainik Rest Houses in North East / Special Category States

Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Govt of India has a scheme to provide grant for maintenance of Sainik Rest Houses (SRHs) of J & K, Sikkim, North-Eastern States and special category States HP, Uttarakhand.

Objective:

Objective of the scheme is to provide grant for maintenance of SRHs of North-Eastern States and special category States, so that better facilities can be provided for ESM to stay during their short visit to state capital of these states.

Eligibility:

This grant is admissible for SRHs in J & K, Sikkim, North-Eastern States and Special Category States only, payable on a yearly basis.

Benefits:    

Annual maintenance grant out of AFFDF is provided @ Rs 50,000/- per SRH.

How to apply:

To claim the grant, Secretary RSB is required to submit an application on a plan paper along with the following documents to KSB Sectt:

• Utilisation Certificate for previous grant with breakup of expenditure incurred on each SRH to be furnished separately.
• Date of maintenance work carried out from the previous grant for each SRH.
• Breakup of maintenance work planned to be carried from the annual maintenance grant being claimed now.
