Google will provide Wi-Fi to 500 Indian Railway Stations

  • Google will probably provide Wi-Fi services to 500 Indian railway stations staring from next year as it is going to collaborate with Indian Railways, Modi said after visiting the headquarters of the Google.
  • During his visit to Google’s headquarters, he was given a presentation of Google Earth in which his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi was shown.
  • Indian-born Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that initially 100 Indian railway stations will be provided Wi-Fi services, and 400 more will be included next year.
  • Indian railway has 7500 stations and 25 million people daily travel by train, Pichai said during the event, recalling his IIT days when he used to travel from Chennai to Kharagpur.
