Adani Group to set-up $2 billion power-plant in Jharkhand

Adani Power Group is going to sign a deal to establish $2.2 billion coal-based power plant in the state of Jharkkhand.

• The group owned by billionaire Gautam Adani, plans to establish two power units with a capacity of 1,600 MW.
• The construction can start by end of this year after the commencing meeting of next week after which the deal will be signed off.
• The electricity that will be generated from the state, will be sold to the Bangladesh as part of the group’s strategy to become a multinational conglomerate.
