XLRI Jamshedpur to host 8th National Conference on Social Entrepreneurship from 29th to 31st Jan 2016

One of the reputed management schools of India – XLRI, Jamshedpur will host the 8th National Conference on Social Entrepreneurship from 29 Jan to 31st Jan 2016 in its own campus Jamshedpur. The theme of this event will be “Social Innovations: Changing Lives and Society”.

The main goal of social entrepreneurship is to identify the gaps in implementing social goods and services – and to design or innovate a replicable solution to minimize the gap. Chairperson of the XLRI’s Fr Arrupe Center for Ecology & Sustainability and the coordinator for the conference said “By addressing the issues which are relevant to the society, these social innovations make an impact on the lives of people”.

This 3 day conference will bring more than 150 social entrepreneurs and many professionals and academicians to broaden the understanding of social entrepreneur and challenges.

The discussion will be held around various topics such as – support ecosystem for social innovations, ICT for people and development, innovations in education delivery, interventions for youth transformation, innovations in farm support, collectives as entrepreneurs, livelihoods on the fringe of society, and investing in development.
