The World Bank has signed a deal with the Indian government providing credit facility of 50 Million USD for minority education and training and skill development. The loan will directly link to the government’s program called Nai Manzil: The Education and Skills Training Program, launched this year in the month of August.
The government through this new scheme wants to reach out to disadvantaged youths form minority communities and support their enrollment school and encouraging them to choose vocational courses to increase their chances of employment.
The projects will also help the students and skilled people in getting jobs, the document further read.
The loan has to be paid in 20 years; it can be extended to further 5 years.
