Women’s Army to take charge in Gujarat

News:

  • 5000 women from 500 Mahila Samitis are formed to keep an eye on anti-social activities and working of cops.
  • Assistant commissioner of police (women cell), Kanan Desai said that police station and ward wise formed Mahila Samitis will communicate with the local police about any information regarding crime.
  • The local police inspector will hold meetings of the Mahila Samitis, every month, to discuss the issues raised by its members and solve them.
