Virtual Police station launched in New Delhi

  • A Virtual Police Station (VPS) is being launched in the New Delhi to make functioning of a police station comprehensible for the public.
  • It will help understand how an FIR is filed and how a police station works, without visiting it physically.
  • It allows the police and public to enter every room of a computerised police station to explore and learn the key procedures such as arrest, registration of complaints of sexual assault, registration of FIRs and more.
