Rani Lakshmi Bai Pension Scheme

To assist families living below poverty line (BPL), the government of Uttar Pradesh launched the scheme of Rani Lakshmi Bai Pension. The state government initiated this scheme for providing financial assistance to families who are exempted from any other government welfare schemes.


  • Female head of the family
  • Family living above the poverty line shall not be eligible for the scheme
  • Male head of the family will be eligible for the scheme (in the case of expiry of the female head)
  • The beneficiary should belong to SC/ST category
  • The beneficiary should also not be the beneficiary of other welfare schemes of state govt


  • A sum of Rs. 400/- per month from the government
  • The government will distribute this pension in two installments sent directly to their bank account

Application Procedure:

The beneficiary will be selected in an open meeting held by their respective gram panchayats
