Telangana Finance Minister Eatala Rajender today has presented the budget for the financial year 2016-2017 with a corpus of Rs. 1,30,415 crore.
- 25,000 crore has been allocated for the irrigation sector.
- 67,630 crore has been allocated for Plan Expenditure and Non-Plan Expenditure has been allocated with Rs. 62,785 crore.
- Telangana’s own revenue has seen a growth of 18,156 crore as it s stalled at Rs. 72,412 crore in this FY as compared to last year’s Rs. 54,256 crore. This budget for the year 2016-2017 has indicated a revenue surplus of Rs. 3,718 crore whereas the fiscal deficit lies at Rs. 23,467 crore (3.5% of the GSDP).
