Pudhu Vaazhvu Project

Tamil Nadu Pudhu Vaazhvu Project was launched on 15th Nov, 2015 by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. This project was initiated with an aim to empower the poorest of the poor, marginalized and differently abled people. It aims at providing sustainable livelihoods for them.

Objectives:

  • To empower the poorest of the poor
  • To enable marginalized and differently abled persons maintain a sustainable livelihood

Beneficiary:

  • A person belonging to a very poor household are the beneficiaries of this scheme

Benefit Type:

  • An individual will be receiving grants from their concerned state government

Eligibility:        

  • To avail the grant the beneficiary should belong to a very poor household
  • This scheme is implemented in backward blocks only

How to Avail:

  • An individual may approach the Village Poverty Reduction Committee present in their respective Village Panchayat

Validity:

  • This scheme will remain valid upto 29th September, 2016.
