Surajdhara and Annapurna Schemes

The Government of Madhya Pradesh introduced two schemes, namely Surajdhara and Annapurna, to meet the increasing demand of high yielding seeds. These schemes have three components each-

  1. Seed exchange
  2. Seed Self Reliance
  3. Seed Production

Beneficiaries:

  • Small and Marginal farmers of ST and SC categories

Benefits:

  • Replacement of old variety of seeds with the highest quality seeds
  • Increase in production
