- Development of Silkworm Host Plan:
- Establishment of Nursery

- Silkworm Seed Production Programme
As per requirement of sericulture farmers in the State, high quality silkworm seeds are produced in State Grainage. Apart from this silkworm seed are procured from SSPC of Central Silk Board, Govt. of India.
- Silkworm Rearing & Cocoon Production
- Mulberry Silkworm Rearing:
According to climatic conditions of different areas of State silkworm rearing & cocoon production are being conducted in four seasons: Summer, Monsoon, Autumn and Spring.
- Tasar Silkworm Rearing:
According to climatic conditions, Tasar Silkworm Rearing and Cocoon production are being conducted in Ampatia and Daba crop in Vindhyachal and Bundelkhand area of State.
- Eri Silkworm Rearing:
Eri silkworm rearing and cocoon production are being conducted during Autumn and Spring season by the traditional castor cultivators in the basin of Yamuna river.
- Cocoon Marketing:
Cocoon produced by farmers are sold through departmental cocoon markets.
- Raw Silk Production:
Motivation of Reeling units in State for consumption of Indigenous cocoon produced by the farmers.
- Sericulture Training Programme:
Sericulture farmers and entrepreneurs are being trained in the State as well as out of State to upgrade their skills by newly improved sericulture technology.
- Supply of quality silk yarn to State silk weavers through Silk:
Silk Exchange established at Varanasi.
