Uttarakhand: Supplementary Nutritional Feeding Scheme

To provide supplementary feeding for 300 days in a year to the children in the age of 6 months to 6 years, to adolescent girls and to expectant and nursing women, Department of Women Empowerment and Child Welfare under Haryana Govt. has introduced Supplementary Nutritional Feeding Scheme. The objective of this scheme is to end the malnourishment by awakening the community for specific needs of nutrition of children and women.

Beneficiaries:

Children in the age of 6 months to 6 years, adolescent girls, severely malnourished children, expectant and nursing women will be provided the benefits under the scheme.

Benefits:

  • Children in the age of 03 – 06 years will be provided hot cooked meal and snacks (500 Kg calorie including 12-15 gm protein) as supplementary feeding in Anganwadi centres.
  • Lump Sum weekly take home ration will be provided to the beneficiaries.
  • Severely malnourished children will be provided supplementary feeding in double quantity.
  • Adolescent girls and nursing women will be provided supplementary feeding up to 600 Kg Calorie including 18-20 gm protein each beneficiary.
