Uttarakhand: Pre School Education Scheme

To provide pre-school education to children in the age of 3-6 years in Anganwadi Centers and to lay the foundation of proper psychological, physical and social development of children, Department of Women Empowerment and Child Welfare has launched Pre School Education Scheme. Under this scheme, financial assistance is also provided to the Anganwadi Workers.

Beneficiary:

Children in the age of 3-6 years, Anganwadi Centers and ECCE centers will be provided benefits under this scheme.

Benefits:

• Pre-school education kit will be provided by giving Rs. 1000 to each Anganwadi centre and Rs. 500 to each mini centre.
• The kits will be provided to Anganwadi centers by making purchase at ECCE centers. For this each ECCE centre will be paid Rs. 5000 as establishment amount and Rs. 1500 annual recurring amount from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
• Anganwadi workers and assistants at ECCE centre will be imparted specific training of Preschool education.
