Saving cum Relief Scheme for Fishermen: HP

Fisheries Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh has a scheme for Himachali Fishermen –“Saving cum Relief Fund Scheme” that will be given to the fisherman at the end of the closing season.

• Each fishermen should be a member of the cooperative society.
• Under the scheme he deposits Rs. 60/- for ten consecutive fishing months from August to May.
• Proportionate amount is contributed by the Central and State Government with contribution of Rs.600 and 600 respectively.
• The total amount of Rs.1800, raised is distributed to the fishermen in two installments during the ‘closed season’.
