The Handloom Department of Jammu and Kashmir has some State sponsored schemes to offer to its citizens for promoting Handloom industry.

Benefits
10% Special Rebate on Sale of Handloom Cloth/products- The State Government reimburses 10% special rebate to societies on sale of handloom cloth or product in National Handloom Expos / Fairs.
Publicity and Exhibitions – To promote the sale of handloom products,it sponsors handloom societies from the state for participation in the special handloom Expos and State Level fairs organized by the Development Commissioner Handlooms, Govt of India.
Credit Plan Scheme- Soft loan facilities are extended through various financial institutions at the prevailing rate of interest per annum, out of which 5% interest is paid by the Department as the subsidy.
Package for Handloom units- For the Entrepreneurs who have established or in the process of establishing the SSI Handloom Units in the State an amount of Rs 5.50 Lacs has kept for the purpose.
