Pakistan govt releases 113 Indian fishermen

Pakistan has released 113 Indian fishermen following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to his Pakistani counterpart  to offer Ramazan wishes.

  • The fishermen were in a jail in Karachi for nine months to a year. Now, they  were put on a train from Karachi to Lahore from where they will cross back to India.
  • The release of Indian fishermen came following PM Modi’s announcement in an apparent ice breaking move that the detained 200 Pakistani fishermen will be released.
