No leave, Rs 63,607 as salary for IAS trainees in special training programme

News:

  • IAS officers of the 2013 batch reporting for a 3-month training module in Delhi before joining their respective state cadres have been told not to take any leave during the training period and informed that Joint Secretary level officers in 39 Ministries will be their “mentors” during the special training programme.
  • IAS officers of 2013 batch will be posted as ‘Assistant Secretary’ in 39 Central Ministries from August 31 to November 31 this year as per a new rule introduced by PM for a better understanding of the working of central goverment before they join their state postings.
  • They will also be paid a monthly salary of Rs 63607 for the 3-month period and their record sheets will be maintained by the concerned ministries and will be merged later with their service books.
  • The government will provide guest house accomodation to all the officers of the 2013 batch during period of training and also issue them CGHS and ID cards.
