Jaipur: Cashless challan scheme from next week

JAIPUR: Traffic police will take help from Department of Information Technology & Communication for implementing ‘cashless challan scheme’ where people would be able to pay their fines online.

“The new facility will be introduced from next week. Now, one would be able to pay traffic challans through their debit cards, credit cards, paytm and online banking at e-mitra,” said Haider Ali Zaidi (DCP traffic).

Besides, traffic police have also taken help of postal department to launch a postal service to return the documents to traffic rules violators, who submit their documents with traffic police. As of now, violators collect their documents from challan branch in Yadgar at Ajmeri Gate. Apart from the existing facilities, traffic department will send these documents by post. It will charge Rs 18 for local post and Rs 40 for all India post. Traffic police will also send a message to the traffic rules violator about dispatch of the documents.
