Nationwide mobile number portability

News:

• Mobile phone users will be able to retain their numbers when they relocate to any part of the country even if they change operators as full mobile number portability (MNP) comes into effect.
• MNP has been available within circles since 2011, this is the first time it will be possible across the country.
• Roaming charges will also be saved once you change the network circle.
• Customers can send a message to 1900 seeking change to another service provider and have to pay Rs 19 for the change.
