Department of Social Welfare of Government of Bihar introduced Mukhya Mantri Sanwasin Vivah Anudan Yojana. Under this scheme government provides financial assistance for those girls who stay in government run homes and who have reached the age of marriage and whose parents and caste identities are unknown.
- To overcome the social issues against women due to their living conditions.
- Helps in providing an identity to the girls whose parents and caste are unknown.
- No girl who has attained the age of marriage remains unmarried.
It provides economic assistance of Rs. 20,000 to the orphan girls residing in the State run homes at the time of their marriage. The amount is paid to the girl in the form of a cheque by the superintendent of the home in which she lives.
How to Access:
Application should be written to Superintendent, Protection Homes or the Balika Grah along with supporting documents such as age certificate, marriage registration certificate, certificate for not receiving dowry, and residence proof of staying in the Protection Home/balika grah.
