At the inaugural session of Indian Science Congress, PM Modi said the government is committed to make scientific research easier and the administration would be improved too. The focus for research should be on five Es, he further emphasized during his speech.
The 5Es stand for economy, energy, environment, empathy and equity.
The cooperative relationship forging under the federal structure of India, there is a need of enhanced cooperation between central and state institutions and agencies for creating a scientific environment. He also asked the scientists for the marriage of traditional knowledge and modern science so that it would provide localized and more sustainable solutions for the society.
