MEA puts vigilance of erring officers posted in Indian diplomatic missions

News:

  • The Ministry External Affairs, has put in place a mechanism for stricter vigilance of erring officers posted in various Indian diplomatic missions across continents and act fast on complaints and allegations leveled against any diplomat.
  • Over 20 officers with diplomatic passports from different background across missions are under scanner.
  • MEA is particularly active on complaints or allegations received from the members of Indian community and expats in any particular country against any diplomat of any harassment or dereliction of duty or matter of avoidance.
