Kaushalya Karnataka Scheme : Programme of creating jobs for unemployed youths

 

The Dakshina Kannada district administration on Monday formally launched a drive to enroll unemployed youth who want to upgrade their skills necessary to get jobs.

The drive is being conducted as part of the State government’s new Kaushalya Karnataka scheme launched by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday.

Persons aged between 16 and 35 have to register their names on the website www.kaushalkar.com of the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Livelihood. They can also register their names on the Kaushalkar mobile app. Each applicant has to provide his/her Aadhaar number.

The release said enrolment centres will be in operation in all the five taluk offices from Monday till May 27. Special enrolment counters will be in operation at the Government First Grade College, Car Street, in the same period, the release said.

The drive was launched by the Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology B. Ramanath Rai at a function held at the Town Hall here.
