- On the Arms Trade Treaty, aimed to be a global framework of arms transfer controls, India said it had highlighted some of the deficiencies in the treaty that must be addressed.
- Gaps in the treaty, in particular whether it could make any meaningful impact on illicit trafficking in conventional arms and their illicit use by terrorists and unlawful non-state actors, weakened the international community’s ability to address a major source of global instability.
