- India will sign an agreement with Bangladesh for selling 100 MW power from Tripura’s Palatana power project in Gomati district, a Tripura minister said.
- The 100 MW power will be in addition to the 500 MW Bangladesh already receives from the West Bengal and a like amount that is on the cards from the state, as the two neighbours enter a new phase of bilateral cooperation for regional benefit.
- Dey said Bangladesh representatives informed that the installation of transmission line had been completed on Bangladesh’s side and requested the Indian counterpart to complete the work by November itself, so that Bangladesh could draw 100 MW power in December.
