IMF should have Bigger Voice – Raghuram Rajan urged

  • Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan at G20 consultation meeting said that developed countries were adopting monetary policies without consideration for the negative impact they have on the global economy .
  • He said IMF should start questioning these kinds of policies right from when they have been initiated.
  • Rajan expressed that emerging markets can produce capable economists who can help steer discussions among policymakers but are failing as enough resources are not available.
