The state government of Uttarakhand has launched its MSME Policy- 2015 to promote investment in MSME sector by providing incentives to MSMEs, promoting investment and making the state an industrial hub. It basically aims to utilize local resources and to create employment opportunities for educated unemployed people as well as promotes self-employment, skill development training etc. The policy will remain effective till the year 2020.

Categorization of the state-
The state has been divided into 4 categories in order to receive incentives. The categories are as follows-
| Category | Regions those are included for incentives |
| A | · Whole Districts of Pithoragrah, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Champawat, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar. |
| B | · Whole Districts of Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Almora,
· All hilly development blocks of District Dehradun other than Vikasnagar, Doiwala, Sahaspur and Rajpur. · All hilly development blocks of District Nainital other than Haldwani and Ramnagar |
| C | · Regions located above 650 mtrs from sea level of Raipur, Sahaspur, Vikasnagar and Doiwala development blocks of District Dehradun.
· Ramnagar and Haldwani development blocks of District Nainital. |
| D | · Whole Districts of Haridwar and UdhamSingh Nagar
· Remaining area of District Dehradun and Nainital (which are not included in category ‘B’ and ‘C’). |
(Incentives under the policy are provided only for Manufacturing Sector in regions aforementioned under Category C and D.)

Thanks got lot of information on MSME Policies in Uttarakhand, because Uttarakhand have different geographical land, high hills, rive side, very cold, hot (3-4 months).
Is the Uttarakhand govt. have any survey of small units on climate wise.
Secondly may I know the List of new Units established in last 2-3 years along with the contact
nos. of beneficeries and the type of unit.
Whether Government of Uttarakhand have accepted the recommendations by Government of India vide letter no F.No. 22(1)2003/EP &M dated 29 . 7.2003 thru Jt. Development Commissioner (SSI)
