Gujarat to get its first women-only Entrepreneur Park

News:

• Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has notified and earmarked land for a women-only industrial park adjoining its new estate in Sanand, near Ahmedabad.
• 200 plots of 500 square metres each and 2,000 square metres plots will be offered to women entrepreneurs in phase one.
• A proposal to give entrepreneurs 50% concession in cost of land as well as other financial benefits is under consideration and is likely to be cleared soon. The auction of plots is expected to start in the next two-three months.
• Tough terms and conditions are being set to avoid misuse of plots by families after purchasing them in the name of women.
