Entrepreneurs with disability can now avail financial assistance to start their own ventures

Scheme for Providing handholding Support to Disabled Entrepreneurs through Vishesh Udyami Mitras

This scheme aims to provide handholding support to needy Persons with Disability in order to avail concessional credit under NHFDC schemes for setting up own businesses.

Objective:

Main objective is to provide assistance to needy disabled people in the form of information, support, guidance for documentation formalities needed for availing concessional credit under NHFDC schemes through SCAs/RRBs by several institutions or agencies like Vishesh  Udyami Mitras for establishing and operating entity.

Eligibility criteria for registering Vishesh Udyami Mitras

• Existing national level Entrepreneurship Development Institutions (EDIs) like NIESBUD (National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development) etc.
• Insurance agents, banking agents of PSBs/RRBs those working for financial inclusion and agents of post offices are also eligible.
• Other organizations, training institutes, NGOs etc. those are approved by CMD, NHFDC are eligible as well.

Financial assistance to Vishesh Udyami Mitras:

Under this scheme, financial assistance would be provided to the selected Vishesh Udyami Mitras in order to render handholding support and other assistance to eligible disabled entrepreneurs to establish their own ventures.

For loan up to Rs. 1 lakh	Rs. 500/- per case/project
For loan above Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh	Rs. 750/- per case/project
For loan above Rs. 5 lakh	Rs. 1,000/- per case/project
