Drinking water scheme inaugurated

Union Minister for Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated a protected drinking water supply scheme at Dokisila in Parvatipuram mandal on Sunday. The scheme was executed at a cost of ₹33 crore to supply drinking water to 66 villages.

Later, as part of the ongoing ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam’ programme, Mr. Ashok addressed a public meeting at the village. He said that the government’s aim was to supply at least 100 litres of drinking water to each house and appealed to people to cooperate with the government. He also planted a sapling at the Parvatipuram Area Hospital and garlanded the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar near the court complex. MLCs D. Jagadeeswara Rao and G. Srinivasulu Naidu, Parvatipuram MLA Bobbili Chiranjeevulu, and party district president M. Chinnam Naidu were present.
