Body-Worn Camares for Hyderabad Traffic Police (HTP)


  • For first time in the country HTP launched ‘Body Worn Cameras’.
  • This project was started in August 2014 on a pilot basis. After successful experimenting with four ‘Body Worn Cameras’ to the traffic officers now extending to 100 ‘Body Worn Cameras’ .
  • With this the Hyderabad Traffic Police can maintain and monitor transparency in Traffic Enforcement, ensuring a people friendly approach.
  • In the current practice, they are many incidents of arguments between cops and public as there is no evidence on record to establish the violators.

    ‘Body Worn Cameras’ had stud moving clip for wearing on the body and simple one click record and any traffic violations can be noticed by traffic cops on the front facing LCD screen.
