Assistance For Setting Up Of Common Facilities in Manufacturing Sector

The manufacturing sector has pivotal role in facilitating investment in the state, employment generation and employability enhancement and adherence to high quality standards resulting in social and economic development of the State. The overall growth rate of manufacturing sector in India is below its potential, the Central Govt. has laid emphasis on the growth of manufacturing sector, along which Gujarat Govt. has introduced this scheme.

Objective:

  • For enabling common facilities which are used by the industrial units for testing and calibration of raw materials, finished goods and other materials which are used by industrial units for development of new technologies and designs.

Period of Operation:

The scheme will remain in operation for period of 5 years from 2015 to 2020.

Eligible Units:

  • Group of Industry, Industrial Association/ SPV of Industrial Association or a private company registered under the Societies Act, Partnership Act or the Companies Act.

Benefits:

Benefits will be provided in the form of financial assistance by Govt.:

  • Industrial Association will be provided one time assistance up to 80% of the total expenditure limited to 10 Crores for the cost of plant and machinery testing equipment and electrification.
