Apprentice Protasahan Yojana (APY)

The Apprentice Protasahan is a scheme launched by the Govt. of India for imparting training of apprentices in industries by utilizing the facilities therein. The Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training invites an application from the interested employers through advertisement in the leading newspapers.

Eligible Employers:

Any establishment where trade, occupation or subject field in engineering or technology is carried out in terms of the Apprentices Act of 1961

Eligible Apprentices:

  • Anyone who is above 14 years of age
  • All categories of apprentices except the Graduates, Technician and Technician (vocational) apprentices which are covered in the scheme administered by the Ministry of Human Resource Development


  • The employers will receive sanction from the government
  • Stipend will be provided for apprentices

How to Avail:

The beneficiary may approach the Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training
