Mata Amritanandamayi Donates 100crores to Modi’s Ganga Project

  • Amritanandamayi Devi, popularly known as Amma, after discussing with the prime minister regarding the possibility of involvement of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math in the Clean Ganga Project she decided to donate Rs 100 crore towards the Prime Minister’s ‘Namami Gange’ Project.
  • Amma will present a draft for Rs 100 crore to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley at a function in Kerala at the Amritapuri Ashram on September 11.
  • The money will be utilised for the purpose of constructing toilets in poor villages surrounding the Ganges.
  • The Mata Amritanandamayi Math had launched its Amala Bharatam Campaign (ABC) in 2010 aiming to improve public health and restore India’s physical beauty.
