30 rebels in Assam surrender before the Indian army

News:

  • More than 30 hardcore rebels of anti-talk faction of NDFB, including its military commander B. Bidai, are running for shelter in the Manas Tiger Reserve of Assam.
  • They could not sustain the mounting pressure of the security forces and surrendered before the Army in two separate batches.
  • Army had destroyed at least five courier points which were supplying ration to NDFB cadres in the wild forest, so the flow fund to the outfit has also dried up.
  • The Army and the police are mounting pressure on insurgents to surrender.
